Full score.
10 pages, 4° oblong format (32.5 × 23.5 cm) with 16 staves + 1 title page with 20 staves. 1 leaf with approximately 12 measures is missing after bar 29.
The title page in Puccini’s hand states: “Preludio a Orchestra / di / Giacomo Puccini / agosto 1876”. At the end of the last page is the autograph indication: “Giacomo Puccini Lucca adi 5 Agosto 1876 / [signature]”.
Evidently this is a fair copy, for the manuscript bears no corrections and the names of the instruments at the beginning of the score are written in professional calligraphy.
