9. Organ paraphrase on “Questa o quella” (Rigoletto)

This arrangement of Verdi’s famous aria is one of Puccini’s earliest works, dating from the mid-1870s. However, it is clear that the handwriting of 9.B.1 is not Giacomo Puccini’s, but very probably that of his brother Michele (born in 1864) who possibly made this much later copy of his brother’s manuscript. This organ paraphrase is catalogued as Appendix II.1 in Schickling 2003 (p. 402).
