Incomplete vocal and orchestral parts. Original parts, prepared for a possible first performance (see NOTES), gathered in a folder bearing the printed inscriptions "Tenore" and "n. 178". The set includes: 4 parts each for the soprano, alto, tenor, and bass parts of the chorus; Flute II; Oboes I-II; Clarinets I-II; Bassoons I-II; Horns I and III; Trombones I–III; Ophicleide; Timpani; Bass Drum; Drum; Harp; 3 parts each for Violins I and II; 2 parts for Violas; Cello; and 2 parts for Double Basses. The part for Flute I is kept separately (Fascicolo 126/1).
In Puccini’s hand: Flutes I-II, Oboes I-II, Clarinets I-II, Bassoons I-II, Horn I, Trombones, Ophicleide, Timpani. The remaining parts are in other hands (likely three different copyists), with some autograph corrections by Puccini.
This source for the cantata was identified by Simonetta Puccini after the publication of Schickling 2003.

Fair calligraphic copy of the full score. P. 1 bears neither title nor signature, as required by the competition rules for the Esposizione Provinciale di Lucca, and lacks Puccini's identification motto (see NOTES).
The prescribed "biglietto" is not present: "Gli spartiti [...] non porteranno il nome dell'autore, ma un motto e un'epigrafe qualunque, il qual motto od epigrafe verrà poi ripetuto sopra un viglietto [sic] insieme al nome del compositore accluso in una busta sigillata".
