Score, comprised of 2 pages, 4° with 10 staves, lacking a title, with the tempo indication: “allegretto moderato.” At the end of the music, Puccini wrote: “Caro Edoardo / io ti consiglio di darlo al cestino. / Stasera non ero in arteria / e tu mi hai / forzato a questa / altra cosa che dichiaro / non mia. [Dear Edoardo / I advise you throw this in the wastepaper basket. / Tonight I was not in the mood / and you have / forced me to this / other thing,Note: Obviously a pun on the word “cosa” instead of “casa.” which I declare / not mine ] / Ciao / GP.]
